Swimming "The Rip" was deemed impossible till Doug Mew did it in 1971. Since then our organisation have come up with a safety system that has enabled over 600 swimmers to savour this magnificent body of water. We also run swimming coaching and teaching sessions for adults and children.
"The Rip" lies at the entrance to Port Phillip Bay, the gateway to Melbourne, Australia. It is a notorious stretch of water commonly regarded as one of the most treacherous anywhere in the world by those 'in the know'.
